Men’s camp – the highlight of the year…

Every year in November, VCC holds an amazing camp for all its men. The camp site is situated out in the CedarburgMountains just beyondthe small town of Clan William. Over a four day period, a fantastic time of outdoor adventure is available to all the adrenalin junkies including rock climbing, hiking, biking, cliff jumping, kloofing and swimming to name but a few. For those just wanting to chill, the same restful Bedouw Valley offers a time to rest alongside the river that runs through the camp site or the opportunity tofind a quiet spot to sit and reflectamongst the rocky outcrop features surroundingthe area. Shaded by lovely trees and serving as accommodation are a number of rustic bungalows with great ablutionfaculties close by. A centrally located enclosed hall and adjacent kitchen provides for a great meeting place and dining room facility. After morning breakfast all the guys gather informally for an hour of fellowship around God’s Word when a time of singing and ministry normally takes place. Thereafter the day is free for each person to explore their choice of activity.

If you are really adventurous you are welcome to join either the men’s camp cyclists or bikers who normally start their journey to camp site two or three days prior to those driving through by car. However you choose to get there and whatever you choose to do when you are there is up to you. Just make sure you make the camp as it will change your life forever…………
